Clinical Applications

PuraMatrix® has demonstrated efficacy in multiple models for hemostasis (CE Mark approved, trade name PuraStat®), tissue regeneration, acute myocardial infarction, therapeutic protein and stem cell delivery, and CNS injury. PuraMatrix® can re-hydrate and provide mechanical support for disc height collapse in degenerated IVDs, anti-adhesion, polyp resection, and bone formation. PuraMatrix® has also been used to repair and restore visual function in the CNS after damage.


Soft Tissue Regeneration

One of the biggest goals in the field of regenerative medicine is to accelerate and improve tissue regeneration after injury or disease. It is widely accepted that scaffolds similar to the body’s own extracellular matrix facilitate the healing process after injury or disease. PuraMatrix® serves as provisional and permissive scaffolds, which rapidly resorb to accelerate wound healing and remodeling. 3-D Matrix and numerous collaborators have shown that PuraMatrix® can facilitate tissue regeneration across a range of soft tissue types (including cardiac and neural tissue) in various animal models.
